'Little Dancer,' an intimate jazz album by flugelhorn player Angelo Verploegen and pianist Jeroen van Vliet, is a profound musical journey through themes of love, hope, and comfort. Inspired by the birth of Verploegen's grandson in 2023, this duo release reflects the joy of embracing new life while confronting the big challenges faced by a new generation. On 'A Handful of Stories,' acclaimed trumpet-and flugelhorn player Angelo Verploegen takes a moment of retrospection, bringing to life a selection of original compositions crafted over the past 25 years. These compositions, designed for a variety of formations and occasions, are now reimagined by a quintet of exceptional musicians. Verploegen is joined by saxophonist Nils van Haften, pianist Marc van Roon, bassist Guus Bakker, and drummer Jasper van Hulten in this musical adventure.

ZILT is the project born from the ongoing musical conversation between Jasper Blom and Ian Cleaver. Starting out as teacher and student, their lessons grew into jam sessions, and soon they took their music to the small stage of a whiskey bar in the center of Amsterdam: Café ZILT. Generations of jazz come together on a record that was developed during live gigs in a crowded café, treading boundaries between low and high art, free jazz and entertainment.
